Job summary

Tower Mobility LLC is seeking a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Driver to provide transportation to wheelchair users in the DC area. You will safely drive and operate a vehicle, follow traffic laws, and deliver exceptional customer service while assisting with wheelchair ramps and securement.

The role offers part-time shifts (Sat-Sun, evenings) with starting pay at $19/hour plus tips and incentives, plus overtime, health insurance eligibility, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have a valid US Driver’s License with DC/VA/MD tag and 2+ years driving history.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to wheelchair users.
• Safely drive and operate vehicle.
• Follow traffic laws and regulations.
• Be extremely customer service oriented.
• Use mobile device for routing information to pick up passengers.
• Assist with wheelchair ramps and securement; may assist with wheelchairs up to 400+ pounds.

Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Driver Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide transportation to wheelchair users
• Safely drive and operate vehicle
• Follow traffic laws and regulations
• Be EXTREMELY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED
• Use mobile device for routing information to pick passenger up and drive to destination
• This role requires regular assistance of wheelchair passengers, including operating wheelchair ramps and securement systems, and assisting with manually operated wheelchairs. Some passengers, inclusive of their wheelchairs, may weigh up to or exceed 400 pounds.

Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Driver Compensation and Benefits:

Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Driver Basic Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the U.S
• Be at least 23years old(for insurance purposes)
• Must have a valid US Driver’s License issued in DC, VA or MD with a minimum of2years US Driving History
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
• UBER or LYFT ride-share or para transit driving experience is a PLUS
