Job summary

The Mather Evanston is seeking a Driver – Concierge to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents and guests while coordinating concierge services and delivering a welcoming, exceptional experience.

You will greet people warmly, ensure on‑time transportation, maintain vehicles, and contribute to a self‑directed team. The hourly pay ranges from $21.51 to $23.50, with benefits such as PTO, 401(k), paid training, and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather vehicles.
• Complete required vehicle safety inspections prior to each trip.
• Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule.
• Maintains a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records.
• Improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on-time performance.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance Process Improvement through data collection and changes.

You’ll provide safe, reliable transportation for residents and guests while coordinating concierge services and creating a welcoming, exceptional experience for everyone who visits The Mather.

From greeting residents and guests warmly to ensuring safe, comfortable, and timely transportation, you’ll play an important role in making everyday experiences extraordinary. You’ll also help maintain our vehicles, support efficient transportation services, and work alongside a self-directed team to create positive moments for residents, families, visitors, and fellow team members.

This is a full‑time role, the schedule for this position is: Thursday - Monday, flexible hours with evening availability a requirement, Tuesday & Wednesday Off. This position requires availability to work on weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather vehicles.
• Complete required vehicle safety inspections prior to each trip.
• Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule and as needed.
• Maintains a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records.
• Works to continually improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on‑time performance within a reasonable margin, weather permitting.
• Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

• Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Willingness to be part of a self‑directed team.
• Driver’s License with excellent driving record.

Preferred:

• Previous experience driving a passenger van, shuttle or bus is preferred .

The hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, certifications, years of experience, geographic location, and current market conditions. Hourly Pay Range

$21.51 - $23.50 USD
