Job summary

ACS Manufacturing, Inc. is a state-of-the-art design build manufacturer of acoustical equipment enclosures, fuel tanks, turbine systems and skids in Denison, Texas. The Driver role covers driving commercial vehicles, trash hauling, and local transport with supervision by the Maintenance Supervisor.

The position emphasizes safety, vehicle inspections, cargo securement, and routine maintenance; it requires CDL-A, ability to work in varying conditions, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to conduct safety checks on vehicles before trips (brakes, lights, mirrors).
• Ability to follow loading/unloading protocols and secure cargo.
• Strong communication and listening skills; adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks on vehicles such as brakes, steering columns, lights and mirrors prior to trip
• Follow and maintain loading protocol
• Secure cargo and re-check their stability throughout the trip
• Inspect trailers before loading and after loading
• Assist with loading and unloading finished product on truck and transport to warehouse
• Trash hauling to other facilities
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary
• Routine work on forklifts, hydraulics and power tools
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
• Obey safety standards and follow local, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible for any other tasks that may arise; at any time

We have one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.

Job Summary: The Driver is responsible for all activities related to driving commercial vehicles including trash hauling, flatbed/gooseneck transport and local transportation needs. This individual assists with the day to day operation of the facility under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities/Duties: Driver

Work Environmental & Physical Demand:

• May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
• Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights (ladders, skyjacks and top of enclosures) and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
• Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
• Must have Texas Commercial Driver’s License-Class A
• Medical card and DOT physical
• Must have 1- year experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on record
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as maintenance technician in an industrial environment
• Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
