Responsibilities

• Install tank parts, fuel lines, pumps, filters, and mufflers.
• Set and install battery boxes.
• Install emergency vents and normal vents; couple oil/coolant lines.
• Mount filter to engine and tank.
• Complete exhaust install and site cleanup.
• Inspect work and ensure safety standards are met.
• Operate power tools and follow ACS safety rules.

ACS Manufacturing, Inc. has one of the largest facilities in the industry, nearly 300,000 square feet on 36 acres in Denison, Texas and has expanded its operation to 150,000 square feet facility in Abbeville, SC.
Job Summary: The Travel Technician, under the supervision of a lead tech, will be responsible for the overall installation of the compartments within the equipment enclosures/switchgears out in the field.
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Travel Technician-Mechanical

• Install tank parts, fuel lines, pumps, filters, and mufflers
• Set and install battery boxes.
• Install emergency vents, normal vents, coupling for oil and coolant lines
• Mount filter to engine and tank.
• Complete Exhaust install.
• Clean, adjust parts, equipment, or machinery worksite.
• Reassemble parts.
• Complete inspections.
• Good working knowledge of power tools.
• Obey the safety standards of ACS worksite as well as follow local, state, and federal regulations, in all states.
• Responsible for any other tasks that may arise, at any time.
• Be willing to learn all tasks above if no previous experience.

Work Environmental & Physical Demand:

• May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands.
• Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
• Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements/Experience: Travel Technician- Mechanical

• No previous experience needed.
• Must be willing to travel out of state for up to four weeks at a time.
• Must have mechanical ability.
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on ladders and enclosures.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment.
• Must be willing to learn all tasks performed.
