Piedmont Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Driver for the Transportation department based in Burlington, NC. The driver will transport physically limited passengers to and from their destinations and interact with caregivers and community agencies.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care needs when needed, maintaining safety, and adhering to CMS and PHSC standards. Schedule is M–F, 8:00am–5:00pm with occasional travel; Class B/C license with endorsements preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience transporting or caring for individuals with special mobility needs or impaired adults.
• Must be able to operate handicap-accessible vehicles.

About Position:The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport the physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. This position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies; this position also performs patient care activities and assistance with personal care needs as needed.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Qualifications -

Education/Experience: High school degree or equivalent. 1 year experience transporting or caring for individuals with special mobility needs or impaired adults.

• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to operate handicap-accessible vehicles
• Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PHSC and approved by CMS before working independently.

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Valid NC Driver’s License and an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart. Class B or C with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required.

Immunizations:Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment.

Pay Range: $17.66/Hourly - $23.74/Hourly (commensurate with years of experience)
