At Wellspring, we believe recovery is a journey — and sometimes, that journey requires a safe, compassionate driver behind the wheel. We’re looking for a dependable, professional driver who not only values safety and responsibility but also respects and supports individuals in recovery.

Who You Are

• You have a valid Maine driver’s license and a clean driving record (no violations in the last 2 years, no OUIs in 7 years).
• You’re certified in CPR and First Aid — or willing to complete certification within 4 months.
• You bring a basic understanding of substance use disorders and a deep sense of empathy for individuals working hard on their recovery.
• You maintain clear, professional boundaries at all times.
• You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• You’re reliable, respectful, safety-minded, and ready to support others' healing with kindness and professionalism.
  
  

What You'll Do

• Safely transport Wellspring clients to appointments and activities in a company vehicle.
• Inspect your vehicle before and after trips to ensure it’s safe and road-ready — reporting any concerns promptly.
• Deliver supplies and complete shopping runs for our residential programs.
• Always protect client confidentiality and practice zero distraction driving — no texting, emailing, or phone use while driving.
• Be a calm, positive presence, making transportation part of the healing environment we’re committed to providing.

Wellspring is a nonprofit agency with a long record of supporting individuals with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions. We offer a full continuum of trauma-informed treatment services — detox, outpatient, intensive outpatient, and gender-specific residential treatment. Our programs create hope, connection, and healing for individuals and families throughout the greater Bangor area.

Work Environment & Physical Expectations

• This role includes outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• The work is active: standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds occasionally).
• Reliable attendance is essential — your role is critical to the safety, security, and operations of our residential programs, even during Maine’s less-than-perfect weather.
