Job summary

The Grandview Lake PLACID, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is seeking a driven AM Line Cook to join our hotel kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of dishes and work with the Lead Cook to ensure meals meet high standards in a timely manner.

As a Line Cook, you will follow recipes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist with inventory, and adhere to health and safety guidelines while supporting the Head Chef and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Line Cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Follow recipes and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
• Ensure that all food is cooked to the correct temperature and is safe for consumption.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all equipment and utensils.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and regulations.
