Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Development Engineer for Transmission, Driveline & Gear Reducer to analyze, develop, and validate driveline systems across Stellantis vehicles. You will work on automatic or manual transmissions, axles, prop shafts, and transfer cases, ensuring seamless integration with vehicle controls and brand character.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and hands-on testing in vehicle and simulation environments, with limited travel for development road trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering with automatic transmission/driveline/electrified powertrain hardware or controls.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and validate transmission and driveline systems and subsystems for Stellantis vehicles.
• Develop development and validation plans and execute performance development tests in vehicle and drive simulation environments.
• Collaborate with torque distribution, powertrain, brake, and vehicle synthesis teams to ensure system integration and vehicle milestones.
• Support benchmarking, data acquisition, test procedures, and regulatory/compliance activities.
