Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an experienced driveline engineer to own the driveshaft/halfshaft design, analysis, release and testing per STLA standards. The role requires developing component requirements, coordinating supplier quotes, and ensuring on-time delivery of engineering documents.

You will lead supplier engineering activities, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues and drive cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or related field.
• 5 years of automotive product engineering experience with OEM or Tier suppliers.
• Halfshaft/propshaft experience and knowledge of driveline systems.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and GD&T practices.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned driveshaft/halfshaft design, analysis, release and testing per STLA standards.
• Develop component requirements, supplier quotes, and DFMEA/DVP&R documentation.
• Lead supplier engineering activities, track deliverables, and conduct design reviews.
• Deliver EBOMs, CAD drawings, and stage reports for program milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
