Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, Alabama, seeks an experienced mechanical/mechatronics engineer to own driveshaft and halfshaft design, analysis, release and testing per STLA processes. You will ensure design delivery against technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, leading supplier interactions, preparing work plans, executing DFMEA/DVP&R, and supporting manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of automotive product engineering experience with OEM or tier 1/2 supplier.
• Halfshaft/Propshaft experience.
• Experience with transmission, driveline, or axles.
• Advanced English language skills (read/write).
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own driveshaft and/or halfshaft design, analysis, release and testing per STLA practices.
• Develop subject matter expertise and coach junior engineers.
• Lead supplier product engineering activities and test plans.
• Prepare work plans aligned with program timing.
• Execute DFMEA, DVP&R and related documentation.
• Deliver EBOMs, models and drawings for assemblies.
• Support manufacturing on production-related issues.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and warranty issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams across locations.
