Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in driving drive-in operations, training staff, and ensuring quality, safety and efficiency.

As part of the team you will monitor staffing, inventory and costs, perform opening/closing duties, and reinforce a customer‑focused service culture. This role requires flexible hours and prior restaurant management experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in QSR restaurant management or equivalent.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Basic math, reading and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign employees to meet service standards.
• Uphold employee handbook policies and practices.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Maintain records and documentation; support administrative duties.
• Foster customer service mindset and respond to guest requests.
• Report guest complaints and assist in resolution.
