Placements24 seeks a seasoned Drilling Supervisor to oversee and direct drilling operations for projects in the East London area. This hands-on leadership role requires extensive experience in drilling operations, managing crews, equipment, and logistics while ensuring safety and efficiency.

You will monitor progress, plan programs, and coordinate with management, contractors, and regulatory bodies to meet objectives and minimize risks and costs in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of oil and gas drilling experience, with at least 3 years in supervision.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Drilling Supervisor to oversee and direct drilling operations for their projects in the East London area. This crucial role involves ensuring that all drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and industry best practices. You will be responsible for managing drilling crews, equipment, and logistics to achieve drilling objectives while minimizing risks and costs in the challenging offshore and onshore environments of the Eastern Cape . This is a hands-on leadership position requiring extensive experience in drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise drilling crews, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Monitor drilling progress, well parameters, and equipment performance, making necessary adjustments.
• Plan and execute drilling programs, including well construction and completion activities.
• Ensure the integrity and functionality of drilling equipment and machinery.
• Manage inventory and logistics of drilling supplies and consumables.
• Communicate effectively with management, contractors, and regulatory bodies regarding drilling operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in drilling operations are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in oil and gas drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience with various drilling techniques and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of drilling safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
