Job summary

Seaboard Drilling, LLC in Rhode Island is seeking a Driller to operate a geotechnical and environmental test boring rig at our Riverside office. The role involves outdoor work, lifting heavy tooling, and data collection.

The successful candidate will have a current Class A CDL, be able to travel to short-term sites across New England, and comply with safety and record-keeping requirements. We offer paid training and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and clean driving record.
• Experience operating a test boring rig or similar heavy equipment.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work outdoors year-round.
• Willing to travel to New England sites, with possible overnight stays.
• Able to read/write observations and logs for safety records.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate geotechnical/environmental test boring rig at Riverside, RI.
• Record observations and vehicle logs; ensure accuracy of data collection.
• Travel to short-term sites across New England, including overnight stays.
• Operate and monitor computer/tablet software related to tasks.

Job description

We have an immediate opening for a Driller to help us grow our operation serving New England. In this position you will operate a geotechnical and environmental test boring rig based at our Riverside, Rhode Island office. Job Requirements

• Prior experience operating a test boring rig or similar heavy equipment.
• Requires a current Class A CDL license and acceptable driving record.
• Full time position, primarily M-F work.
• Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy tooling and supplies up to 100 pounds and work outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Position will require regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with some overnight stays.
• Must be proficient with basic math and measurements necessary for drilling and data collection.
• Must be able to read and write to record observations, safety information, vehicle logs and related tasks.
• Must be able to operate a computer and/or tablet and smartphone, including applications and software related to job tasks.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer. We are not able to sponsor employment Visas at this time.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred
• Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island hoisting license preferred
