The role requires experience with mobile equipment, knowledge of drill patterns, and the ability to work in a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of mobile equipment operating experience.
• Knowledge of drill patterns and sequence.
• Knowledge of blasting operations procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Completion of required competencies and aptitude.
• Written assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates diesel/electric drills safely and proficiently.
• Drills primary/secondary blast holes to depth and collaring.
• Identifies mechanical issues and reports wear on bits.
• Drills angle holes and native ground; operates cables around shovels.
• Performs maintenance tasks: bending drill steels, bit changes, stabilizers.
• Ensures safe tramming between drill holes and benches; coordinates with blasting crew.
