Job summary

OceanaGold Haile in South Carolina is seeking a Drill Operator to operate heavy mining equipment safely, document drilling data, rebuild DTH hammers, and support blasting patterns.

You'll work 12-hour shifts in a surface mine, lift up to 50 pounds, and collaborate with a safety-focused team. Training and professional development are provided, with a comprehensive benefits package and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in mining or construction.
• Experience with Sandvik drills is preferred.
• Knowledge of drill patterns and design concepts is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document and record all data for holes drilled during shift.
• Rebuild DTH hammers.
• Change out consumables on drill rig (bits, hammers, drill steels).
• QAQC blast patterns as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and other team members.
