Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation seeks a drill operator to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently at our Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina. You will document hole data during shifts, rebuild DTH hammers, and manage consumables on the drill rig while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include QA/QC blast patterns, coordinating with supervisors, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely task completion.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment (dozer, excavator, front-end loader).
• Experience with Sandvik DI650i and DR410i drill rigs.
• Drilling experience in oil, gas, exploration or RC drilling.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document and record all data for holes drilled during shift.
• Rebuild DTH hammers.
• Change out consumables on drill rig (bits, hammers, drill steels).
• QA/QC blast patterns as needed.
• Communicate with supervisor and other team members.
