We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading dredging contractor based in Houston, TX, with travel required to project sites as needed. This is a hands-on role supporting all phases of dredging and marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will either hold a relevant degree (e.g., Construction Management, Ocean Engineering) or have strong practical experience in marine/civil/heavy construction projects.

Project Engineer – Dredging Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit project submittals to clients
• Perform surveying tasks at project sites as needed
• Assist with project billing and invoicing to clients
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day operations
• Submit daily reports to clients documenting project status and field activities
• Maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or Excel
• Coordinate equipment, vendors, and materials throughout the project lifecycle
• Analyze past project performance to support continuous improvement
• Assist in bid estimation and proposal development
• Track equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules

Project Engineer – Dredging Position Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Ocean Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field

• Candidates without a degree may be considered if they have relevant hands-on experience in construction, dredging, or marine projects

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
