Job summary

Allen Lund Company is seeking a Drayage Logistics Specialist to join our team. You will source trucks for Drayage and Full Container pickups from railyards, ports, and terminals, and dispatch accordingly.

You will track shipments, maintain documents, and communicate with customers and partners to ensure on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or drayage dispatching, plus strong organization, prioritization, and verbal/written communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in Freight Forwarding or drayage dispatching.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle the sourcing of trucks for and dispatching Drayage/Full Container pickups from Railyards & Ports/Terminals.
• Receive and update shipment status in a timely manner; issue shipment alerts when needed; track and trace port availability and delivery status.
• Collect and maintain all load documents (POD, EIR, DO, etc.).
• Manage shipments to ensure timely cargo delivery; obtain and create quotes; source best transportation method.
• Build relationships with customers, other ALC offices, overseas agents, and service providers.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
