Job summary

Allen Lund Company seeks a Drayage Logistics Specialist to join our team. You will source trucks for drayage, dispatch drivers to pickups from rail yards and ports, and monitor shipment status.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for excellent customer service and timely deliveries. Qualified candidates have 1–2 years in freight forwarding or drayage dispatching, and a proven ability to coordinate logistics across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or drayage dispatching.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Experience within a freight forwarding or Drayage Import organization is preferred.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Trucking and dispatch: manage drayage truckers and source new contractors as needed.
• Shipment and document handling: update shipment status, issue alerts, track port availability and delivery status, collect load documents.
• Logistics and customer relations: manage shipments for timely delivery, obtain quotes, source best transport methods, and build relationships with customers and partners.
• Team player: work independently and as part of a team.
