Job summary

American Woodmark is seeking a Drawer Box Assembler in Cumberland, MD. The role involves building drawer boxes, rails, and fronts using air tools, jigs, and glue, with attention to quality and safety in a factory setting.

Employees are expected to read production labels, interpret specifications, and operate a computer system for assembly tasks. Overtime may be required, and benefits include bonuses and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, drawer front types and styles.
• Must be able to read a standard tape measure and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Build drawer boxes using air tools, jigs and other equipment.
• Prepare dummy fronts and install rails/clips onto boxes.
• Glue drawer boxes and attach rails with hot melt glue.
• Ensure quality specifications are met for all drawer box assembly tasks.
• Interpret production labels and use computer systems for building/fronting the box.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
