Job summary

American Woodmark in Cumberland, MD is seeking a Loader to place cabinets and parts into trailers using hand dollies and pallet jacks, ensuring loads are correct and secure for transport. You will follow HSL requirements, identify cabinet types, and read production labels to assemble components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and work in an environment with varying temperatures. Overtime and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow all handling, staging, and loading (HSL) requirements.
• Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances.
• Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Load cabinets into trailers following the Handling, Staging, and Loading requirements.
• Package cabinets while moving down the assembly line and using strapping machine to secure box for loading.
• Use scanning system to ensure correct components are assembled.
• Accurately interpret production labels and scan cabinets and parts.
• Occasionally use a pallet jack to move skids of parts for loading.
• Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned.
