Job summary

Sheffield Furniture & Interiors in Cromby, PA is seeking an experienced residential upholstery sewer or seamstress to create custom window treatments, draperies and soft goods. The ideal candidate has sewing machine operation, fabric cutting, and pattern making experience; training is available if needed.

You will perform drapery construction, cushions, bedding, and operate sewing machines to fabricate window treatments.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of sewing experience (preferably with draperies, shades, and bedding).
Proficient in sewing construction techniques.
Knowledge of different fabrics and their properties.
Experience operating sewing machines and other related tools.
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform drapery construction and alterations according to client specifications.
Create cushions and bedding according to client specifications.
Operate sewing machines and other tools to fabricate custom window treatments.
Measure and cut fabric to ensure accurate sizing and fit.
Create templates and patterns for custom projects.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
