Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Process Integration Engineer to shape the future of memory technology within the Advanced DRAM organization in a cutting-edge R&D environment.

You will lead integration activities for charge storage devices and TFTs, design experiments in the R&D fab, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield, reliability, and product margins. A strong background in EE, materials science, or physics is essential.

Qualifications

  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics or related field
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor device physics and materials science and understanding of process integration and development
  • Experience with data analysis, DOE, and statistical methods
  • Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results across functional technical teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead integration activities for advanced semiconductor devices, including charge storage devices and TFTs
  • Evaluate device operating mechanisms, failure modes, noise sources, and variability to improve performance and reliability
  • Partner with multi-functional teams to overcome yield, reliability, and product-margin challenges
  • Design, implement, and analyze experiments in the R&D fab to optimize process flows
  • Analyze inline, parametric, and probe data to drive yield improvement, process margin, and cost reduction
  • Communicate complex technical issues and lead teams toward project goals

You will work with experts in process development, device engineering, modeling, characterization, and reliability to develop and integrate new technologies from concept through implementation in silicon.Responsibilities:Lead integration activities for advanced semiconductor devices, including charge storage devices, thin-film transistors (TFTs), and related device structuresEvaluate device operating mechanisms, failure modes, noise sources, and variability to improve device performance and reliabilityPartner with multi-functional teams to identify and overcome performance, yield, reliability, and product margin challengesDesign, implement, and analyze experiments in the R&D fab to optimize process flows and meet product requirementsAnalyze inline, parametric, and probe data to drive yield improvement, process margin, and cost reductionCommunicate sophisticated technical issues and lead teams toward achieving project goalsMinimum Qualifications:M.S. +2 or PhD with equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related fieldStrong expertise in semiconductor device physics and materials science, with understanding of process integration and process development.Experience with data analysis, design of experiments (DOE), and statistical methodsProven ability to lead projects and deliver results across functional technical teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with cleanroom processing techniques and device fabricationKnowledge of advanced semiconductor manufacturing, characterization techniques, and defect reduction strategiesDemonstrated success improving yield, reliability, manufacturability, and cost in semiconductor technologiesExperience collaborating with design, product engineering, modeling, characterization, and reliability organizationsExperience using AI-assisted analytics to improve data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiativesAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
