Job summary

The City of Pueblo is seeking a Civil Engineer-Drainage to lead planning, design, and construction management of drainage facilities within the City and to provide engineering support for stormwater infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities include reviewing drainage plans, preparing bid documents, and coordinating with City departments and public agencies. Supervisory duties cover Associate Engineer I & II within the Stormwater Division.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum two years in civil engineering with at least one year in stormwater engineering/oversight.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Colorado PE license within five years.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic analyses and design drainage systems for City projects (storm sewers, inlets, detention ponds, etc.).
• Review drainage reports and plans submitted by developers.
• Prepare or review master drainage plans; develop flood-proofing measures.
• Prepare contract bid documents, specifications and cost estimates.
