Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Irvine, California, is seeking a Drainage Project Engineer to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of street and highway drainage facilities.

The candidate will develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates and coordinate with multi-discipline teams. The position requires a BSCE with at least three years of design experience in California, a PE license or ability to obtain within six months, and proficiency in Microstation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
• Minimum three years of design experience for California roles.
• P.E. registration required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Integrity and highly motivated.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Microstation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of hydraulic/hydrology software such as HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, and SWMM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete drainage-engineering elements: reports, designs, specs, and plans.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and EITs.
• Coordinate design development with other disciplines and offices.
• Perform design reviews and QA/QC of final plans and specs.
• Lead or assist in hydrologic/hydraulic calculations and drainage reports.
