Job summary

Parsons seeks a Drainage Engineer to join our Critical Infrastructure team in the United States. You will focus on drainage design, layouts, calculations, and erosion/sedimentation control plans for roadway projects, preparing reports and materials for procurement and construction.

We require a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience, CAD proficiency (Microstation) and knowledge of StormCAD, HY-8, and CulvertMaster.

Job Description:

Are you a driven and enthusiastic engineer ready to dive into projects that shape the future of our communities? Parsons is on the hunt for a skilled Drainage Engineer to join our world-class critical infrastructure team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• This position will focus on drainage design, layouts, calculations, preparation of drainage reports and preparation of Erosion/Sedimentation Control Plans on roadway design projects.
• Complete a variety of assignments, including drawings, specifications, and other materials for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD applications as applicable.
• Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
• Develop detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by the position.

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required
• Proficiency in CAD (Microstation) and other PC software packages commonly used in drainage design and engineering like StormCAD, HY-8, CulvertMaster, etc
• Experience with NCDOT/SCDOT Drainage design and erosion control plans development is preferred

Location Flexibility:

Candidates can be located in either Raleigh, North Carolina or Columbia, South Carolina, with an ideal hybrid office attendance arrangement. This allows for a balance between remote work and in-office collaboration, ensuring both productivity and work-life balance.

Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
