Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Lake Mary, FL seeks an engineer to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, and drawings for transportation projects. You will work with the project team to develop conceptual and detailed designs, using OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, and related software.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 2 years experience or a Master’s with 1 year. EIT certification is preferred. Visa sponsorship is not available. Lake Mary, FL location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in drainage design for transportation projects preferred.
• Engineering techniques and design criteria applied to projects.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Prepares and/or modifies portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develops project quantities and assists with cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administration of design files.
• Self-sufficiently completes tasks including research, data collection, field investigations, and design of projects.
