Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is seeking a Full time Drain Technician for residential and light commercial work in the Indianapolis area. You will diagnose drainage issues and clean drains with professional equipment, while maintaining a professional image and following safety policies.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of verifiable drain cleaning experience, plumbing knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable drain cleaning experience in a residential service
• Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, and equipment
• Basic computer proficiency
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Remove drain cover using appropriate tools and assess the issue
• Operate drain cleaning equipment and adjust knives as needed for pipe diameter
• Start and control the machine to feed the cable and replace components as required
• Remove roots and debris from drains and prepare waste for disposal
• Measure distance from drain opening to suspected leak or break and document findings
• Repair breaks in piping and maintain a professional image and safety standards
