Job summary

Champion AC and Plumbing in Austin seeks a Plumbing Drain Service Technician with a valid Texas Plumbing Apprentice Card. You will assist, learn, and grow under experienced plumbers, performing drain cleaning, inspections, and repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers on-the-job training, mentorship, and a clear path to full plumbing licensing (Tradesman/Journeyman). A company vehicle and tools are provided as you progress, fostering a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• MUST POSSESS A VALID TEXAS PLUMBING APPRENTICE CARD. (Proof required)
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Prior experience in a related field (e.g., general labor, construction) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technicians with drain service calls, including clearing clogs, camera inspections, and hydro-jetting.
• Learn to diagnose drain issues and recommend solutions to customers.
• Maintain and organize service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Be available for occasional on-call shifts.
