Job summary
United Water Restoration Long Island is seeking a Drain Technician for our residential/commercial plumbing team, focusing on drain and sewer service from first call to final walkthrough. You will diagnose, service, and clear drains using cameras and hydro-jetting, ensuring client understanding and satisfaction.
You will compete with a team that values training, reliability, and craftsmanship, maintaining trucks and equipment and documenting work accurately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drain cleaning, sewer line service, and general plumbing (drain-specific experience preferred).
- Comfortable operating cameras, locators, snakes, and jetters.
- Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Physically able to perform the work (crawl spaces, lifting equipment, outdoor conditions).
- Dependable, punctual, and takes pride in a job done right the first time.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis & Service: Responds to calls for clogged, slow, or backed-up drains and sewer lines. Uses cameras and locators to diagnose root causes. Performs snaking and hydro-jetting with proper equipment. Determines need for repairs and communicates clearly.
