Job summary

Sullivan Super Service in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Drain Install Technician to join our growing team. You will perform excavation, install, repair, and replace residential sewer and drainage piping, and operate mini excavators and other equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with sewer, drain, plumbing or excavation work is preferred.
• Experience operating a mini excavator or other excavation equipment is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of underground piping, drainage systems, and proper pipe grading is a plus.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
• Strong attention to safety and job-site procedures.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform excavation work to access underground sewer and drain lines.
• Install, repair, and replace residential sewer and drainage piping.
• Operate mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, and other excavation equipment.
• Dig and prepare trenches for sewer and drain installations.
• Remove damaged or deteriorated piping and install new drain/sewer lines.
• Properly grade and pitch piping to ensure appropriate drainage and flow.
• Assist with sewer line inspections and identifying damaged sections of piping.
• Backfill, compact, and restore excavation areas following completed installations.
• Safely work around existing underground utilities and structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform excavation work to access underground sewer and drain lines
• Install, repair, and replace residential sewer and drainage piping
• Operate mini excavators, trenchers, compactors, and other excavation equipment
• Dig and prepare trenches for sewer and drain installations
• Remove damaged or deteriorated piping and install new drain/sewer lines
• Properly grade and pitch piping to ensure appropriate drainage and flow
• Assist with sewer line inspections and identifying damaged sections of piping
• Backfill, compact, and restore excavation areas following completed installations
• Safely work around existing underground utilities and structures
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements, including proper trench and excavation safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members throughout the project

Qualifications

• Previous experience with sewer, drain, plumbing, excavation, underground utility, or similar installation work preferred
• Experience operating a mini excavator or other excavation equipment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of underground piping, drainage systems, and proper pipe grading is a plus
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment
