Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Flying Dutchman Race Team Performance Mechanic to join our performance automotive team in Franklin, TN. This role supports drag racing while performing race car maintenance, classic car restoration, performance engine assembly, diesel equipment maintenance and general shop operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive repair and diagnostics, knowledge of high performance vehicles, and experience with classic car restoration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of high performance vehicles and drag racing preferred.
• Experience with classic car maintenance or restoration.
• Diesel repair experience preferred.
• Performance engine assembly experience preferred.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, inspect, and repair drag race vehicles.
• Provide trackside support during race events, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and restoration work on classic and performance vehicles.
• Assist with performance engine assembly and related mechanical work.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, brake, suspension, and drivetrain systems.
• Maintain shop equipment, tools, inventory, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Accurately document completed work and communicate project status.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, high-performance work environment.
