Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, a major lumber and millwork producer, is seeking a Drafter for its Windows division. You will create and revise drawings for windows and doors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with engineering directions and customer needs.

You will collaborate with Inside Sales, Architectural Services, and Design Engineering to deliver solutions, while maintaining revision control and drawing standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Drafting or related field.
• Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design and documentation.
• Knowledge of fenestration products, window/door manufacturing, and terminology.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications with accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate sales and production drawings and supporting documentation.
• Interpret dimensions, conventions, product rules, and configurations for windows and doors.
• Revise and maintain drawings per customer requirements and engineering direction.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Architectural Services, and Design Engineering on solutions.
• Coordinate with plant and sales to communicate drawing requirements and updates.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and safety standard compliance.
