Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to maintain accurate drawings, BOMs, and CAD data while supporting production during machine builds. You will draft detail drawings and assemblies for engineer-to-order projects and contribute to customer floor plans and line layouts.

The role requires SolidWorks experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team to meet deadlines in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time on-site position based in Spokane, WA.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year Mechanical Engineering Technology program, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in SolidWorks.
• Ability to prepare thorough, detailed drawings.
• Sound judgment and the ability to work well on a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks and assignments on time.
• Experience with BOM management and ECN/ECN processes in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, complete detail drawings, and assemblies. Provide drafting and red-line support to mechanical engineers on custom, engineer-to-order (ETO) projects.
• Prepare customer floor plans, line layouts, and customer-specific documentation for Sales and Service.
• Provide technical support to production on projects in build, so engineers can keep machine releases on schedule.
• Update engineering documentation (drawings, BOMs, Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Notice) and manage standard component selection across configure-to-order (CTO) machines.
• Help coordinate, enforce, and maintain drafting and modeling standards, including revision control of templates for CTO and ETO equipment.
• Document and maintain machine changes and updates. Communicate standards-driven updates to other departments.
