Job summary

Targetti USA is seeking a draftsman to support Engineering, Production, and Customer Service in preparing precise technical drawings and project take-offs. You will collaborate with Sales to ensure accurate quotations and timely delivery, and you will develop CAD-based and Bluebeam templates to streamline workflows.

The role requires 2–4 years in lighting or related fields, an Associate degree or equivalent, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in lighting or related industries (customer service, inside sales, or similar).
• Architectural lighting industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create production, technical, and documentation drawings for components and assemblies.
• Generate project take-offs and assist with sales drawings.
• Analyze blueprints to ensure correct installation and documentation.
• Quantify required products and coordinate with Sales for quotes.
• Produce CAD-based and Bluebeam drawings and templates to standardize workflows.
• Assist with special projects as directed by management.

Position Summary

The Draftsman supports Engineering, Production, and Customer Service by preparing and maintaining technical and production drawings, generating project take-offs and assisting with special projects as directed. This role ensures accurate, organized documentation and facilitates smooth communication between departments to support efficient project execution.

Position Responsibilities

• Support Engineering and Production teams by creating production, technical, and documentation drawings for various components and assemblies.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Department to generate project take‑offs and drawings required by the sales team.
• Analyze blueprint drawings, product layouts, and specifications, ensuring all technical and installation requirements are accurately documented.
• Calculate and verify quantities of required products, collaborating with Sales to ensure accurate and timely quotations.
• Produce technical drawings for event pole projects.
• Develop CAD‑based and Bluebeam‑based technical drawings, as well as standardized company templates, symbols, title blocks, and related documentation to support consistent drafting and project workflows.
• Assist with special projects or assignments as directed by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in lighting or related industries (customer service, inside sales, or similar).
• Architectural lighting industry experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficient with PC platforms and software: Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Required: Adobe or Bluebeam Revu.
• Preferred (not required): SAP, AGI, AutoCAD, Photometric ToolBox,
• Quick learner with strong organizational skills.

Communication & Teamwork

• Professional, self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize urgent requests, and follow up effectively.
• Fluent in English.
• Energetic, people-oriented, tenacious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Compensation Pay will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and education, as this role is open to a range of skill levels.
