Job Summary

At Kawneer, we’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Drafter I to be part of our innovative journey. As a Drafter I, you’ll play a crucial role in creating detailed technical drawings that bring our cutting‑edge building systems to life. Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings based off Architectural and Structural drawings.
• Read and interpret as sold quotes.
• Meet deadlines to support OTIF (On time in Full).
• Prepare die drawings for projects at customer request.
• Prepare shop drawings for standard and modified standard projects using established drafting standards, small to medium in size.
• Collaborate (verbal and/or written) with team members across the business unit on customer projects (Engineering, Project Management, Take‑Off, & Sales).
• Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions for future reference.
• Self‑check standard and modified standard projects, small to medium in size using established drafting standards.
• Understands project flow from Sales to Estimating to Technical Services.
• Incorporates marked up corrections from internal and external customers.
