Job summary

Actalent in Easton, CT is seeking a High-End Residential Designer / CAD Drafter to balance creative design and precise drafting on luxury homes. You will develop AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, and design documents while directly engaging with clients.

You will visit client showrooms and homes, prepare finish schedules and specification packages, and support renovation and interior design projects, collaborating with vendors and project teams to move programs forward.

Qualifications

High-End Residential Designer / CAD Drafter

Easton, CT | Full-Time

Ready to work on beautiful custom homes and grow your career in luxury residential design? We're looking for a Designer/CAD Drafter who enjoys both the creative and technical side of design and wants direct exposure to clients, projects, and decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Create and update AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, and design documents.

• Assist clients with material, finish, and fixture selections.

• Visit client homes and showrooms throughout Fairfield County.

• Prepare design presentations, finish schedules, and specification packages.

• Support custom home, renovation, and interior design projects.

• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and project teams to keep projects moving smoothly.

• Assist with renderings, 3D models, and design visualization.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in residential design, drafting, architecture, or interior design.

• Strong AutoCAD skills.

• Experience with residential floor plans and construction documents.

• Strong attention to detail and design sense.

• Comfortable working directly with clients.

• Portfolio of design or drafting work.

Nice to Have

• High-end residential experience.

• Revit, SketchUp, or Enscape experience.

• Knowledge of millwork, interior elevations, and FF&E.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
