Job summary

Magrym Consulting, Inc. seeks a Civil3D/AutoCAD designer to transform survey information into construction plans, including grading, drainage, and utility layouts.

You will work with engineers and architects to prepare surfaces, road profiles, earthwork calculations, and plan revisions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drawings for client review.

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree or equivalent Certificate for AutoCAD/Civil3D preferred; Bachelor's Degree welcomed.
• Minimum of one year experience in Civil3D including creating surfaces, road profiles, grading, earthwork computation, pipe networks and profiles.

Responsibilities

• Transform survey information, initial sketches, and concept designs into construction plans using Civil3D.
• Prepare Existing Conditions, Dimensioned Site Plan, Site Grading & Drainage Plans, Site Utility Plans.
• Create Roadway Plan and Profile Drawings and Detailed Street Intersections.
• Prepare Utility Plan and Profile Drawings, Drainage and Hydraulic Structure Details.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other consultants; revise plans per comments.
• Organize and maintain CAD files; support project manager with scope/budget reviews.

Job description

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

Transform survey information, initial sketches, and concept designs using Civil3D into construction plans, generally including:

• Existing Conditions
• Dimensioned Site Plan
• Site Grading & Drainage Plans
• Site Utility Plans
• Roadway Plan and Profile Drawings
• Detailed Street Intersection Designs
• Utility Plan and Profile Drawings
• Drainage and Hydraulic Structure Design and Details

• Work with engineer to modify plans from mark-ups and design revisions
• Coordinate design with Architects and other engineering consultants
• Revise plans according to client, manager, or agency reviewer comments and redlines
• Self-Review performed work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to manager
• Work closely with project manager to determine if scope of work/budgets need to be revised
• Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision
• Assist in organizing, creating, and maintaining all CAD or CAD related files for clients

Requirements

An Associate Degree or equivalent Certificate for AutoCAD/Civil3D preferred; Bachelor's Degree welcomed.
