Job summary
Magrym Consulting, Inc. in Midland, TX is seeking a Civil3D/CAD technician to transform survey data into construction plans, including site grading, drainage, utility layouts, and roadway plan profiles under supervision.
The role requires an Associate degree or certificate in AutoCAD/Civil3D (Bachelor's encouraged) and at least one year of Civil3D experience creating surfaces, road profiles, earthwork calculations, and pipe networks.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent Certificate for AutoCAD/Civil3D preferred; Bachelor's Degree welcomed.
- Minimum of one year experience in Civil3D including creating surfaces, road profiles, grading, earthwork computation, pipe networks and profiles.
- Land development industry experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transform survey information and concepts into construction plans using Civil3D (surface creation, grading and drainage).
- Produce dimensioned site plans and road plan/profile drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects and consultants; revise plans from client comments.
- Self-review work for completeness and accuracy before submission to manager.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining CAD files for clients.

Job description
Transform survey information, initial sketches, and concept designs using Civil3D into construction plans, generally including:
- Existing Conditions
- Dimensioned Site Plan
- Site Grading & Drainage Plans
- Site Utility Plans
- Roadway Plan and Profile Drawings
- Detailed Street Intersection Designs
- Utility Plan and Profile Drawings
- Drainage and Hydraulic Structure Design and Details
- Work with engineer to modify plans from mark-ups and design revisions
- Coordinate design with Architects and other engineering consultants
- Revise plans according to client, manager, or agency reviewer comments and redlines
- Self-Review performed work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to manager
- Work closely with project manager to determine if scope of work/budgets need to be revised
- Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions under minimum supervision
- Assist in organizing, creating, and maintaining all CAD or CAD related files for clients
