Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Drafter-CAD Operator at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. The Drafter will work with engineers to create designs for new systems and facilities, as well as modifications and upgrades to existing ones.

The role supports TOS II and requires CAD proficiency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to obtain an active security clearance. Open to internal/external candidates with competitive pay scales depending on grade.

Qualifications

• Completion of two-semester CAD drafting; or 9 college credits in CAD/engineering graphics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active security clearance for AEDC.
• U.S. Citizenship required for access to Arnold AFB facilities.
• Drafter Operator I: 1 year CAD drafting experience; Operator II: 2 years CAD drafting or related degree; Operator III: 4 years CAD drafting or CAD + experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings or diagrams with sufficient detail for shop drawings and construction.
• Generate 3-D CAD models based on information from others.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and other designers.
• Maintain and access job drawing files and controls as instructed.
• Make basic calculations related to drawing responsibilities.
• Prepare as-built drawings reflecting construction changes.
• Perform complex revisions from sketches or models as required.
• Supervise and check the work of less experienced drafters.
