Job summary

Actalent in Fountain Valley, CA seeks an experienced Revit Drafter/Detailer to own drafting standards, improve drawing quality and efficiency, and support scalable Revit systems and libraries. This role blends hands-on drafting with process improvement in a manufacturing environment.

You will develop Revit families, templates, and customer-facing submittal drawings, coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Operations, and help establish best practices that ensure on-time

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Revit drafting, detailing, or design experience.
• Experience creating Revit families, libraries, templates, and standards from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, layouts, elevations, and customer-facing design documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed Revit models, floor plans, elevations, and customer-facing submittal drawings.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of highly specialized laboratory furniture and equipment solutions. They are seeking an experienced Revit Drafter/Detailer to take ownership of drafting standards, improve drawing quality and efficiency, and support the development of scalable Revit systems and libraries. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact on both project execution and process improvement.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a highly skilled Revit professional who can do more than create drawings. The successful candidate will develop Revit families and templates, create customer-facing drawing packages, collaborate across departments, and help establish best practices that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed Revit models, floor plans, elevations, and customer-facing submittal drawings.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with Revit.
• 5+ years of Revit drafting, detailing, or design experience preferred.
• Experience creating Revit families, libraries, templates, and standards from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, layouts, elevations, and customer-facing design documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• in architectural drafting, millwork, cabinetry, interiors, laboratory environments, building products, or related industries.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Exposure to SolidWorks is a plus.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or fabricated product environments is beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fountain Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
