Job summary

HMIS is seeking a drafting-focused professional to support multi-discipline drafting, BIM updates, and FMP development at the Hanford site. You will work with engineers and central management to ensure drawings reflect field modifications and as-built conditions.

Responsibilities include updating drawings from FMPs, creating BIM models, and performing reality-capture-based updates. DOE clearance eligibility and strong attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree from accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using Autodesk design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MEP, Revit, Inventor) with latest version.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE L security clearance and a PIV badge.

Basic Qualifications
  • AA/AS degree from accredited institution - or - equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using Autodesk design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MEP, Revit, Inventor, etc.) with recent experience using version 2024 or newer.
  • Ability to take direction and execute tasks successfully.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Energy "L" security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE " L" security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, architecture or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience performing drafting and design work in an engineering work environment.
  • Experience working in a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment.
  • Familiarity with reality capture workflows.
  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Grade 93: $68,888 - $86,863
  • Grade 94: $81,313 - $102,538
  • Grade 95: $89,400 - $112,700
