Job summary

Sonic Connectors, A Superior Energy Services Company, Midland, TX, is seeking a CAD Draftsman to join our on-site team. You will design and draft parts to API GA requirements, create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, and ensure quality standards are met while supporting engineering, sales, and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2+ years in CNC design in Oil & Gas, and proficiency with Inventor, Fusion 360 or SolidWorks; API 6A knowledge and strong detail orientation are

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of design for Engineering CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts.
• Produce fully-dimensioned, manufacturing drawings and wellhead stack-up.
• Convert sketches, prototypes, and supplier data into CAD models for parts.
• Collaborate with engineering to support sales, operations, manufacturing and other departments.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), material lists, revision histories, and fabrication/assembly procedures.
• Maintain CAD library, templates, standards, and drawing revisions and control/drawing release procedures.
• Support engineering with projects, design testing and other similar tasks.
• Assist inspection/quality by providing drawing documentation and revisions after production feedback.

Sonic Connectors, A Superior Energy Services Company is currently seeking a CAD Draftsman to join our team in Midland TX (On-Site 5 days a week).

The CAD Draftsman is responsible for assisting in design and drawings of manufactured materials within API GA requirements, and to ensure compliance with company quality standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Knowledge and comprehension of API 6A requirements
• Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts and

• Collaborate directly with engineering department to support sales, operations, manufacturing and other departments as necessary.

• Maintain CAD library, templates, standards, and drawing revisions and control/drawing release procedures.
• Support engineering department with projects, design testing and other similar

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years of design for Engineering CNC Manufacturing focused

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAD software, including Inventor Professional, Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Ability to adapt to new design tools and technologies
