Actalent is seeking a Drafter in Columbus, OH to migrate existing engineering drawings into Autodesk Vault and edit drawings with Autodesk Inventor. The role requires coordinating with engineers to resolve documentation questions, maintaining accurate records, and performing daily team check-ins.

The initial three weeks are onsite for training, followed by remote flexibility. A strong background in CAD drafting and attention to detail is essential for success in this contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drafter to migrate existing engineering drawings and files into Autodesk Vault. The role involves opening, reviewing, and editing drawings using Autodesk Inventor, as well as updating and cleaning up existing engineering documentation. You will organize files and drawings as part of the migration process and work directly with engineers to resolve drawing or documentation questions. Daily check-ins with the engineering team are part of the routine to ensure drawings and associated documentation are accurately maintained throughout the project.

• Exposure to manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order products is beneficial.
• Ability to understand engineering concepts, technical drawings, and product assemblies.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment.

Work Environment

The initial three weeks will be spent onsite for training, after which remote flexibility is available. You will work closely with a hands‑on engineering team that will provide support throughout the project.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
