Job summary

Ampirical is seeking a skilled drafting professional to support electric substation design projects in Boise, Idaho. You’ll follow technical specs to prepare accurate drawings, interpret revisions, and collaborate with engineers to ensure drafting standards are met.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree or technical certification in drafting (or 2+ years of related experience) and at least 2 years of AutoCAD work.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex drafting assignments for electric substation applications.

• Interpret redline revisions and implement corrections.
• Consult with engineers regarding drawing accuracy and drafting standards.
• Prepare finished working drawings for construction and relocation projects.

• Hourly Range: $23.80/hour - $40.82/hour (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)

What You’ll Do

• Perform complex drafting assignments related to electric substation applications.
• Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assist in design drafting.

• Prepare finished working drawings for construction and relocation projects from a basic design by designers and engineers.

What You Bring

• Education: Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Drafting or a related field (or 2+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
• Experience: 2 + years of experience required!
• Skills: AutoCAD
