What You'll Do

As a Shift Leader, you'll help manage day-to-day restaurant operations while supporting our General Manager, Assistant Managers, and local ownership.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead, motivate, and support team members during assigned shifts.
• Create a welcoming environment where guests receive friendly, efficient service.
• Coordinate employee assignments, breaks, and daily responsibilities to keep operations running smoothly.
• Train and coach team members to build confidence, improve performance, and maintain high standards.
• Ensure food quality, cleanliness, safety, and customer service meet Dairy Queen standards.
• Assist with food prep, serving customers, operating registers, and working the drive-thru as needed.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and shift accountability procedures.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant management and ownership.
• Set a positive example through teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

Qualification Standards

• One to three years in a high-volume restaurant preferred; QSR experience strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service and employee relations skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to oversee restaurant operations and multiple areas simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant, including moving and responding quickly for long periods of time.
• Interact with the public and co-workers constantly during shifts.
• Must be able to work in and out of different temperature ranges.
• Capability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to50 pounds.
• Must have excellent customer service skills, good manners, proper personal hygiene, a positive attitude, and be prompt.
