Job summary

Grand Valley State University invites applications for a tenure-track Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Director at the associate professor level or higher. This 12-month, full-time position will oversee accreditation, curriculum, and program development in the DPT track within the College of Health Professions.

The successful candidate will lead teaching, research, and service activities, while advancing equity and inclusion in PT education.

Qualifications

  • Earned post-professional DPT degree and hold Associate/Full Professor rank in an accredited DPT program.
  • Understanding of higher education and contemporary PT practice with admin, teaching, scholarship and service experience.
  • Current physical therapy licensure in Michigan or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Strong collaborative relationships, time management and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion within the profession.

Responsibilities

  • Administration: oversee accreditation, budget, admissions, assessment and curriculum.
  • Teaching: instruct in clinical area and advise students.
  • Scholarship: engage in independent work and direct graduate student research.
  • Service: participate in college, university and professional service; represent GVSU PT program.
