Job summary

The University of Utah Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training is seeking seven Doctoral of Physical Therapy students in the first or second year for a 2-year mentoring appointment to assist with admissions and mentor training.

Students will meet their matched protégé for at least 4 contact hours per month, including one video call or in-person meeting, and may help with recruitment activities on and off campus under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be accepted to or enrolled in the Doctoral of Physical Therapy program – St George Pathway.
• Federal Work-Study Award for the current year required.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to University of Utah policies.
• Complete mentor training and document protégé communication monthly.
• Attend mentoring program activities each semester and communicate with pathway director.
• Contribute to recruitment activities online, on campus, and off campus as needed.
• Be an active participant and liaison with the mentor/mentee team.
• Support admissions processes and mentor/mentee progression discussions.
