Job summary

The Harrisburg University DPT program offers a hybrid 3-year pathway in which lab assistants support core and adjunct faculty during on-site lab experiences. Lab immersions occur in 4–7 day blocks across the year, with training in a hybrid format.

Assistants contribute to learner development and program policies under faculty supervision. Lab assistants participate in annual program training, help evaluate learners, and ensure safety protocols are followed while supporting course coordination

Qualifications

• DPT degree or PT degree required.
• Minimum of one year full-time clinical experience.
• Active, unencumbered PA Physical Therapy license.
• Ability to effectively demonstrate and provide accurate feedback to DPT learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to accept constructive feedback and maintain a learner-first focus.
• Adherence to professional standards, including the APTA Core Values and Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates psychomotor skills to learners.
• Works cooperatively with DPT core faculty member/course instructor.
• Provides constructive feedback to enhance learning.
• Evaluates learner performance using a grading rubric.
• Assists in grading written work related to patient documentation.
• Monitors and enforces lab safety protocols.
• Trains and assists in use of equipment.
• Contributes to coordination and evaluation of courses and curriculum.
• Participates in faculty development and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
