Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking a DPRK/China-focused intelligence analyst to own end-to-end attribution and map on-chain networks. You will work with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to apply threat-finance expertise and produce actionable intelligence for customers and partners.

You will represent Chainalysis publicly and help set data-collection priorities while building AI-enabled automation to scale impact. This is a senior-level role with global reach.

Qualifications

• Deep, demonstrable DPRK and/or China expertise.
• On-chain tracing experience against DPRK/China targets.
• National-security or threat-finance background.
• Regional fluency; Mandarin and/or Korean is a plus.
• Elite potential with proven track record.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• AI-forward instincts to build automation.
• Comfort working with data; blockchain forensics preferred.
• 5+ years for Senior; 8+ years for Staff.

Responsibilities

• Own DPRK & China attribution end to end — the threat-actor entities, their definitions, and the accounts, addresses, and infrastructure they operate.
• Lead the attribution response to DPRK- and China-related sanctions events.
• Map the networks on-chain — trace funds through mixers, cross-chain bridges, no-KYC swaps, OTC brokers, and laundering paths.
• Produce finished intelligence — advisory notes, customer and partner briefings, and contributions to publications.
• Be the named external expert — represent Chainalysis on DPRK and China crypto threats at conferences and briefings.
• Help set the DPRK & China collection agenda — surface data needs and feed into the collection process.
• Translate typologies into detection — guide products to operationalize.
• Build with AI — design and tune automation for analysis.
• Level up the team — raise the bar and collaborate across teams.
